The CHallenge GUIDEBOOK

Here you can see all the rules, terminology, and the things you need to know in playing the challenge. It is a good thing to keep you ahead of the game. It is not cheating but being smart and prepared.

DIFFICULTY & MODE

I offer 2 types of difficulties to maximize your challenge experience. At the beginning of the meeting, the whole party will be asked what difficulty you want to participate in. The party much decides only one mode. If they are multiply parties, you can play together (Co-op) or play against each team (Duel). The maximum number of members in a team is 5 and should only have 2 Teams per challenge. If there are more participants, then they need to split themselves and form teams. Multiply teams considered playing a duel mode.

CO-OP MODE

This mode is only applicable if there is only 1 team. Even the participants separate reservations. They can form a team as long as they are made up under 5 members and they all approved to play together.

This mode, you will work together as a team and fulfilling each challenge card. At the beginning of every checkpoint. the team will be given 3 challenge cards and you can all work on one task together or split the tasks on yourselves. So plan and execute accordingly.

Duel MODE

This mode is applicable only if there are 2 teams. This is more challenging because each team needs to compete with the other team.

Each team will draw a card from the game master and the first team who fulfill the challenge card can accept the remaining card.

For this mode, each team has a separate score but in the end, they will add the total together for the Leaderboard.

You as a GUIDED

This mode is for photography beginners who want to learn their gears, to the tourists who want to enjoy the city and a family-friendly environment where anybody can enjoy.

It comprises of 15 checkpoints. It has fewer challenges but it is focused on learning and enjoying the locations. You will hear more information, tidbits, and advice about the city and photography than being focus on the challenge itself.

After reaching the last checkpoint, you will be rewarded 50 points instantly.

You as a CHALLENGER

This mode is for the ones who seek for challenges. It is for experienced photo enthusiasts, those people who are willing to compete with other teams, and to the locals who already familiar with the city.

It comprises of 30 checkpoints. It is more focused on fulfilling the challenge itself and not about stopping in every checkpoint. Guidance is not applicable in this mode. But do not worry, the game master will still give some tidbits and advice during transits.

After reaching the last checkpoint, you will be rewarded 100 points instantly.

CHALLENGE CARD

These are the different tasks that you need to fulfill to move on the next checkpoint. This challenge cards comprise of 3 different colors and difficulties (Silver Deck for Easy - 5 points, Gold Deck for Medium - 10 points, and Black Decks for Hard - 15 points). It contains certain information: The Challenge Theme Title, Reference Number, Task description, and the judgment criteria.

CHECKPOINTS

These are the places where we will stop and fulfill the challenge cards. In a checkpoint, you will be given 3 challenge cards, one from each deck (Silver, Gold, and Black). You need to fulfill at least one of the three challenge cards to move on to the next checkpoint. 

The 90-minute game only starts when every checkpoint commences and stops when accomplishing every checkpoint. Time does not run during transit. It is a good time to relax, talk about the city, or asking some questions about the challenge.

EXECUTION

Make sure that your images are directly executed the given theme. In the description, you are given a brief idea of what is the theme. Make sure to follow the criteria so you can easily fulfill the task. You can show different images but only shot that you made during the challenge. The game master decides if the image passed. If not, your team needs to reshoot or find another subject that is applicable to fulfill the challenge.

POINTS AND SCORE

On every challenge card that you fulfilled, a specified number of points that you will earn. From Silver Deck - 5 points, Gold Deck - 10 points, and Black Deck - 15 points.

At the end of the challenge, all fulfilled collected cards will be added and will be rank against other participants in the leaderboard. If the scores tie, the better time will lead the other, if still draw, the date

The Leaderboard comprises of the All-Time Best Challengers (Top 4) and the top 20 challengers on that year. All challengers under the top 20 will be replaced by the challengers who earned more points.

JOKER CARDS

It is a special card where your team can duel with the game master and triple the amount of your challenge points if you win, And if you lose, your team will lose triple.

To obtain the joker card, you need to exchange 2 aces card 4 challenge cards in a deck. A joker card value is times 5 the value of the challenge card (Silver - 25 points, Gold - 50 points, and Black - 75 points) count it at the end of the challenge.

There are only 2 joker cards of each deck throughout the game. It does not replenish when used.

ACE CARDS

At the beginning of the challenge, each team will obtain 1 ace card of every deck. This card can help you fulfill the challenge.

You can exchange this ace card to borrow equipment or tools to the Game Master. It is only applicable until the end of the checkpoint when you exchange it. An ace card can also use to exchange your checkpoint's challenge card if you have difficulty accomplishing it.

To obtain an ace card, you need to exchange 4 challenge cards on a certain deck. An ace card value is times 3 the value of the challenge card (Silver - 15 points, Gold - 30 points, and Black - 45 points) to count it in the end.

There are only 4 ace cards of each deck on every checkpoint. It replenishes on the next checkpoint when it was used.

REWARDS

At the end of the challenge, your team can redeem certain items and freebies in exchange for the score you have gathered:

  • Sweet - 5 points
  • Small Sticker - 50 points
  • Photo Sleeve - 75 points
  • Medium Sticker - 100 points
  • Challenge Postcard - 150 points
  • Print a Shot - 200 points
  • Print-for-3 - 500 points
  • 30-Min Group Photoshoot - 750 pts
  • Free Challenge Play - 1500 pts



During the whole challenge, the Game Master is taking photos of the challengers. When you accomplished the challenge, As a compliment, you and your team will be given access to get those images of your experience.

You can access them 3-5 business days after the challenge. Please make sure to give your email to the Game Master so you can get it in your email.

CHALLENGER CARD

At the end of the challenge, every member who accomplishes the challenge will receive a "Mission Accomplished Challenger Card" as proof of completing the challenge.

It is a card that you can brag to your friends and family. It also contains a QR code that you can use to scan that can redirect you to the website and leaderboard.


Lastly, you can use this challenger card to get ahead of everything by exchanging it to get 1 random joker card and 2 random ace cards the next time you play the challenge again.
